Lector Ministry

Lectors at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick assist the Celebrants(s) in proclaiming the Word of God during Mass. The ministry is open to practicing Catholics in good standing that have clear speaking voices and are able to speak in front of large groups. Training sessions are provided for this ministry and are required. Volunteers serve on a rotating schedule, reading once every four to eight weeks depending on the Mass served.
