Forty Hours Devotion

Thursday, May 30th - Saturday, June 1st

The Forty Hours Devotion

The Cathedral of Saint Patrick invites all the faithful of the Diocese of Charlotte to a special Forty Hours Devotion to take place Thursday, May 30th through Saturday, June 1st in the Cathedral. During this forty hours of adoration and prayer, we wish to honor Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart and Her Queenship, as well as our Lord’s Precious Body and Blood.

It is our strongest hope and desire that at least three people remain in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament during each of the forty hours of this devotion. If you wish to serve as an adorer, please sign up online:

At the conclusion of the devotion, we will celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and then process behind a relic of the True Cross to the future site of an abortion mill, located at 700 South Torrence Street off Kings Road, where we will pray for the protection of the unborn.
